May 25 2012 - District 6 Middle School Champs
District 6 Middle School Track & Field Championships - 2012
Quispamsis Middle School competed to a strong finish and won the title of District 6 Track & Field Champions for 2012. Over 200 athletes from eight district six schools competed at the event on Thursday with Rothesay Park Middle school coming second and Harry Miller Middle School placing third in over all results. Other schools competing included Hampton Middle, Belleisle Regional, Macdonald Consolidated, Sussex Middle and Rothesay Netherwood School.
Many new district records were set including by SJTC athlete, Sarah Kean who set new marks in the grade8 400m and 800m.

SAINT JOHN – More than 180 athletes from across the province competed at the Saint John Track Club Spring Meet, the first track meet held at the Canada Games stadium for the 2012 season. This event was offered as a warm up meet for New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association and other school competitions.
The following Greater Saint John athletes showed strong performances, winning their events. They are listed with their name, age group, event and time or distance in brackets.

May 14 2012 - Katie Robinson Wins Bronze at the Nike High School Grand Prix - Toronto
Congratulations to the SJHS Girls Track Team who competed at the inaugural Nike High School Grand Prix in Toronto this weekend.
A special recognition to Katie Robinson who brought home a medal for NB by securing a bronze in the 1500m and a 4th place finish in the 800m.
Also competing from SJTC were Hannah Arsenault who ran personal bests in both her races in the 800m and 1500m, Victoria Leblanc who competed to a PB in the 100m plus did the 200m & Long Jump and Norah Emerson who competed in the 1500m.
May 13 2012 - ASEA Sping Meet - Strong Results
Congrats to the small but strong group who competed at the Moncton Spring meet this weekend.
SJTC Dominated the Peewee tetrathlon with Laura Duffly, Colin Manuel, Logan Forgey and Jackson Healey competing.
Cole Healy took first place in the 80m, 150m and Long Jump.
Master's Athlete, Dave Jefferson set another provincial masters record in the Shot Put with a throw of 7.47m.
The Mens1500m saw an outstanding field with season leading times and personal bests galore.
Nick MacMackin - ran in a time of 4.00.88 (one of the fastest for his age group in the country so far this season)
Matt McNeil - finished strongly with a 4.01.32 (a personal best by 4 seconds!)
Josh Shanks - continued his strong running finishing in 4.04.10 (a PB by 10 seconds!)
May 12 2012 - Road Race Performances
Congrats to our SJTC members who have been out on the NB Road Race circuit over the last few weeks.
