May 5 2014 - Annear smashes the 800m record!

Grace Annear of Hampton had an amazing start of the season run this past week-end (May 4th) at the Payton Jordan Invite. Running in the fourth section of the women’s 800m, Annear finished third in her race with a time of 2:05.76. Not only is that a personal best for the New-Brunswick athlete, it also breaks the 22 year old provincial record by more than two seconds! The old record was set in 1992 by Patti Blanchard (2:07.02). Annear will be competing at the National Championships in Moncton this June. If you’re in the area, this is one event you won’t want to miss!
